Frogmore CREW –“ a Great Success”
GREEN fingered Mrs Angela Livesey took the best garden award in the competition held as part of the recent Safer Hart Crime Reduction and Environment Week in Blackwater and Frogmore.
Mrs Livesey, who lives in Rosemary Gardens, Blackwater, received £25 worth of gardening vouchers.
The event, which was mostly based around Frogmore, was hailed as a “great success” by the co-ordinator Richard Denham.
During the week a full day’s work was put in removing unsightly graffiti –particularly from the Frogmore parish hall.
The fire service toured parts of the area pro-actively looking for potential fire hazards and arson risks.
Meanwhile community wardens freshened up the paint on some of the street furniture while Hampshire County Council trading standards officers visited local shops and gave advice.
An abandoned van was removed from the Kingfisher Parade car park and two surgeries were held where local people could meet representatives from the Safer Hart partners.
The next CREW will be held in the Spring. Updates can be found on www.saferhart.co.uk
