Hair Today Gone Tomorrow for Community Wardens
FRIDAY February 13 may be unlucky for some but Hart community wardens Jen Wilson and Tracy Murphy hope it will bring good luck to the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in Farnham.
For that is the day the two plucky wardens will have their heads shaved in public to raise funds for the hospice. They expect to raise at least £1000.
The event takes place at noon in the Hart Shopping Centre in Fleet town centre when the ‘shearing’ will be carried out by local barber Alan Rogers.
Tracy said she wanted to give something back to the hospice, which looked after her aunt during her final illness.
They have both put by warm hats for their wintry rounds in the Hart neighbourhoods after the event. To sponsor Tracy and Jen visit www.justgiving.com/saferhart
Reporters and photographers are welcome at the event. To find out more ring Jen or Tracy on 01252 774531 or email jen.wilson@hart.gov.uk or tracy.murphy@hart.gov.uk
