Hart workplace award scheme –more join
A NUMBER of new organisations have already decided to join the Hart Healthy Workplace Award Scheme –and more are still wanted.
Hart District Council working with Hampshire Primary Care Trust and the North Hampshire Chamber of Commerce last year devised a voluntary bronze, silver and gold grading system to recognise organisations working to improve the health of their employees.
The focus is on health and safety, healthy eating, physical activity, smoking and stress.
Judging is based on the entrants’ submissions as well as comments from employees. They are encouraged to say how effective or otherwise health initiatives are.
Sponsors include the Four Seasons Hotel in Dogmersfield and Frimley Park Hospital.
Last year’s prestigious awards ceremony was held at the Four Seasons.
Colin Clark, the general manager, commented: “The Four Seasons team is delighted to be involved in the awards for the second year running.
“The programme has proved to be a huge success in recognising the need for awareness and good practice with respect to health and well being in the workplace.
“It provided an excellent opportunity to evaluate ourselves –allowing us to highlight both successes and opportunities for the future.
“As an international company specialising in luxury hospitality, we feel a strong desire to be leading the way in this field –ensuring our own team is taken care of as well as our guests.”
More entries are invited. The deadline is August 30 with this year’s awards ceremony scheduled for November.
