Hart Consults the People

HART District Council is to stage a budget consultation roadshow in the Hart Centre shopping complex on Friday January 29 prior to setting its spending plans for the next financial year.

This comes at a time when councils across the country are tightening their budgets to take into account lower levels of public spending, less interest on investments and reduced income.

At the road show members of the public will be asked to fill out budget consultation questionnaires.  These will also be available on the Hart website www.hart.gov.uk and at the reception at the Civic Offices in Fleet.

Hart Leader, Cllr Ken Crookes says: “We shall need to continue to make tough decisions on  budgets for not only 2010-11 but beyond and the views of Hart residents are invaluable to us.”
