Partnership Patrols to Make Streets Safer
DURING the recent Hallowe’en and fireworks Festivities members of the Hart Community Safety Partnership worked with the police to prevent anti-social behaviour in the district.
Recently the partnership broke new ground when an anti-social behaviour case worker went out on Hallowe’en patrol with the police in Hook.
During their patrol, which ended at midnight, there were only a few incidents reported to the police. PCSO Robert Nicklin and case worker Daniel Gill did confiscate alcohol from an under age drinker. The aim of the high visibility patrols is to reassure the public that both the police and the council are tackling anti-social behaviour robustly.
During the Firework period (November 5-6) Hart’s Community Support team went out on patrol with the police’s Fleet Safe Neighbourhood team.
Over the coming weeks the exercise is expected to be repeated on a regular basis throughout the district.
Hart’s Cabinet member for Partnerships, Cllr Nippy Singh described the patrols as: ”Another good example of partnership working in Hart.”
