Triple triumph for Hart centres
ALL three of Hart’s leisure centres have emerged with flying colours following assessments by Quest, the UK quality scheme for sport and leisure.
The latest success was at the recently refurbished Frogmore Leisure Centre, which emerged with a ‘highly commended’ rating and was placed within the top five per cent of leisure centres nationwide.
Earlier in the summer Hart Leisure Centre started the ball rolling when it was ‘commended’ while the Harlington Centre in Fleet received an ‘accredited’ rating.
Cllr Sara Kinnell, the Cabinet member for Leisure and Recreation, commented: “I am delighted. This is an achievement of which we are very proud and it is something upon which we can build in the future.
“I would like to say ‘well done’ to the staff for such a great team effort.”
Staff will not be able to rest on their laurels as Quest is a continuous process. The centres can expect mystery guests over the next 18 months and another full scale inspection in two years time.
The inspections incorporate interviews with staff at all levels and the formal auditing of policies and records. These include financial management, customer services, staff training, health and safety, building maintenance, environmental policies and value for money.
