Cllr Richard Appleton, the council’s portfolio holder for Planning and Regulation, commented: “Conservation areas play an important role in the planning process –helping to preserve areas of note from inappropriate development. To be effective it is essential that these policies are kept up to date, which is why Hart is committed to its rolling programme of reviewing and updating all of them.”
