CREW heads for Odiham
THE ‘Safer Hart’ partnership is to stage a Crime Reduction and Environment Week at Odiham (April 23-26).
The CREW events have taken place regularly throughout the district over the past 18 months and have been a great success.
The main event fun day will be held in conjunction with Odiham Awareness Day at Robert Mays School on Saturday April 26 (10am to 4pm).
Among the items featured will be farm animals, a megaslide, a mobile police station, a dog show, a hog roast, face painting and displays by Hart Council departments.
A surgery will take place at Robert Mays School on Thursday April 24 when residents will be able to talk to representatives of the police, housing services, environmental health, licensing and local councillors.
During the week the police and the RAF police will be carrying out an exercise to remove old vehicles abandoned near the RAF station.
The Colt Hill car park near the Basingstoke Canal is to be resurfaced and will have broken fencing refurbished.
The ‘Safer Hart’ partnership includes Hart District Council, Yateley Town Council, police, fire and probation services and Sentinel.
