Summer sports showcase planned

HART Leisure is to stage a big Outside Sports Open Day in Calthorpe Park, Fleet on Saturday June 7.

This follows the success of a Spring event on March 8 which attracted large numbers of the district’s children.

The June event will include taster sessions in football, hockey and tag rugby for six to l2 year olds.

It will cost only £2 per child  to take part in three sessions for archery (aged nine plus) and tennis (four years plus). Children have to be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Becky Phillips, the outside sports manager, commented: “The last Open Day was very successful so we decided to hold another one. We feel they let the community know about the courses we offer.”
