Election Results in Hart District Council
THE Conservatives retained the Eversley ward in the Hart District Council by-election yesterday. Janet Maughan successfully defended the seat held by the late Cllr Hugo Eastwood.
In the five county council divisions in Hart there was only one change. Jenny Radley , representing Community Campaign Hart had a majority of more than 2000 in taking the Church Crookham and Ewshot seat from the Conservatives.
The Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats each retained two seats.

Fleet: *Sharyn Wheale (Con) 3624, Denis Gotel (Ind) 1964, John Davies (Lab) 337, (No Change). Turnout 39.7 %
Hartley Wintney, Eversley & Yateley West: *David Simpson (LD) 2361, Sara Kinnell (Con) 2288, Roger Robertson (Ind) 559, Geoffrey Crompton (BNP) 222, Joyce Still (Lab) 167. (No Change). Turnout 41.9 %.
Church Crookham & Ewshot: Jenny Radley (CCH) 3822, Pritpal ‘Nippy’ Singh (Con) 1724, Jim White (Lab) 148 (CCH gain from Con).
Odiham: *Jonathan Glen (Con) 3458, Graham Cockarill (LD), 1029, Jerry Owen (BNP) 324, Sean Clarke (Lab) 272. (No Change).
Yateley East, Blackwater and Ancells: *Adrian Collett (LD), 3015, Edward Dawson (Con) 1615, Barry Jones (Lab) 182. Turnout 36.4%
