General Election Preparation Under Way in Hart

ALTHOUGH the General Election has yet to be called Hart’s election officials are already working hard to make sure that all eligible residents can have their say on polling day.

Electoral Registration Officer Viv Evans and his staff have sent out forms to Hart households to compile a new electoral register that will be the basis for next year’s elections –including the local ones in May.

Urging people to complete and return the forms Mr Evans said: “It’s simple to register. All you have to do is complete the canvass form and then you will be able to help choose the people who make the decisions that affect your every day life.

“For some people this will be their first General Election and they may be worried about what to do.”
