Phoenix Green Common
Location: Hartley Wintney.

Access: A30, B3016, West Green Road, Dilly Lane, Grange Lane, Thackham's Lane.
Terrain: Woodland and open grassed areas, with paths and rides.
Facilities: Footbridges over ditches; some paths have gravel / hard surfacing.
Description: Phoenix Green Common is a beautiful amenity enjoyed by people throughout the district and beyond. It is registered Common land shown on the open access land maps.
Running around and between housing from West Green Road at its northern end to the B3016 at its southern end, it provides an excellent green space for local people to enjoy. It consists of a mixture of woodland, with some fantastic old oaks and beech trees, and grassed open areas adjacent to the A30.
Walking: Access at various points across the Common. The Common is suitable for wheel chair or buggy access on some paths.
Footpaths: 18, 19, 20 & 21 cross the common; 17, 19, & 50 run onto and off of the Common. The Common can be reached easily from the centre of Hartley Wintney via the A30, which has pavements.
Bus route: Stage Coach 200 (Hook, Odiham, Hartley Wintney, Camberley) stops at points on the B3016 and A30, which run through the Common. Any bus routes to Hartley Wintney can also be used.
Railway: Winchfield Station, SU 763545, is approx. 1km from the Common along the B3016. You can take the 200 bus route which stops near the Station to Phoenix Green or walk for approx. 20 minutes along the safe pavement beside the B3016.
Parking: On-street parking in West Green Road, Dilly Lane and a lay-by on the A30 west bound side.
Management: Hart District Council is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Common and works closely with Hartley Wintney Parish Council. The condition of the Public Footpath surfaces, bridges, signage and other structures, is the responsibility of Hampshire County Council Rights of Way Department.
