Hazeley Heath
Hazeley Heath is a lowland heath area with a habitat that is extremely rare globally. It is one of the largest surviving tracts of heathland, in a region where destruction of this internationally endangered habitat has exceeded 90%.

The heath is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), notified by Natural England because of its size and rich biodiversity. It is also part of the Thames Basin Heaths Special Protection Area (SPA) on account of its heathland bird interest.
It is a peaceful relaxing environment for those wishing to stroll among the wildlife and enjoy nature at its best. Throughout the year work parties participate in conservation and environmental projects specific to the area.

An Outline Management Plan has been written for Hazeley Heath using ‘The Common Purpose’ approach. This involved a consultation process with adjacent landowners, stakeholders and local people. The management plan can be found at the link below.
