The Environmental Health Department deals with all aspects of Environmental Health, the licensing of various activities such as kennels and catteries, riding establishments and invasive therapies such as tattooing, piercing and accupuncture.
The department is also home to the dog warden (who deals with dog-on-dog attacks, dog fouling and stray dogs), pest control and the corporate health & safety advisor.
The aim of the Environmental Health service is 'to protect and enhance the health and safety of the community'.
