Household Waste Recycling Centres
There are 26 Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC’s) scattered throughout the County, these sites are operated by Hampshire County Council.
The primary role is to encourage recycling but bulky household waste can be taken to these sites for free disposal.
Household Waste Recycling Centres 'Household Permit Scheme'
Hampshire County Council have introduced a new scheme to restrict traders using household waste recycling centres.
From 14th February 2008, vans and commercial vehicles have restricted access to the sites. Hampshire County Council recognises that some householders only have access to a commercial type vehicle for their domestic use, and these householders will be able to apply for a free permit allowing them continued access to the sites.
For further information and to apply for a permit online visit the Hampshire County Council website.
