Hart District Local Plan

The Hart District Local Plan (Replacement) 1996-2006 is the policy framework to guide development within Hart District. The Plan was adopted on 23rd December 2002.  The fully published adopted Local Plan was published in May 2003.  Please see below for changes to the Local Plan and how to view the Plan. Current Policies: In September 2007, under a Direction by the Secretary of State, the policies in the Local Plan underwent a review and a number of policies were not saved. A copy of the letter, including the list of policies that were saved, is available by clicking on the link below.  Therefore any policies not listed in the Direction expired in September 2007 and no longer stand as a material consideration.

How to view the Local Plan

• A hard copy of the plan (including the First Alterations and amended maps) can be purchased for £65 (including p+p).
• A CD can be purchased for £10 (including p+p).  However, the CD version does not include the recently adopted First Alterations and amended maps.
• A hard copy of the First Alterations, including the updated Proposals Map and relevantinset maps, can be purchased separately for £15 (including p+p).
• Payment may be made by cheque or debit/credit card.

First Alterations

On 22nd June 2006 the Council adopted the First Alterations to the Local Plan.  These now form part of the Development Plan for the District and will remain in operation untill 22nd June 2009.  Please click on the link below to view the First Alterations..
