Grant Finder/GrantNet
Grantnet - Funding Database
After two years of declining use we have reluctantly withdrawn the GrantNet/Grantfinder service.
However we will be adding more information on this page to help local organisations seek funding for voluntary projects. We maintain an extensive network of contacts in the local government and voluntary sector funding arenas, which provide us with high quality information about sources of funding available for this area.
Alternative sources of funding information
There are many sources of funding information on the Internet. Some of these are subscription services, such as GrantFinder, but there are also many sites offereing free funding advice and searches. It is worth visiting these sites for additional funding source information or advice on making bids.
The National Lottery sites offer the most practical advice, and of these the "Awards For All" site is probably the most useful for not-for-profit groups, parish or town councils, school or health bodies seeking small grants (£300 - £10,000). This site gives detailed advice on essentials such as:
- Who can apply for funding,
- What documentation you need to supply
- When to make your application
- Where to send your application
- and last but most important of all ... Why applications fail ... and how to avoid the pitfalls.
Havant Borough Council produce an excellent document "Help with Funding" which they make available on their web site (see link on right). This is regularly updated and contains up to date information on sources of funding and advice.
Other Sources of Information. Links to a small selection of other funding information sites are provided in the "Useful Websites" panel to the right. These all provide free searches and access to news and advice.
If you have any questions about anything on this page, or if you would like to be included on an occasional funding news update by email, please contact the Performance & Innovation Team (See "Contacts" panel on the right)
