AFFORDABLE HOUSING VIABILITY STUDY
An Affordable Housing Viability Study is planned to inform development of the Council’s Affordable Housing Policy forming part of the Evidence Base for the Core Strategy part of the emerging Hart Development Framework.
The study will test the circumstances in which the Council can expect the residential property market to deliver the required levels of affordable housing. The study should make recommendations as to site size thresholds and proportions which could be justified on viability grounds, so as to maintain the supply of housing sites overall, whilst securing an optimal contribution to affordable housing need provided through market-led housing developments.
