Local Development Scheme (LDS)
The Local Development Scheme (LDS) describes the documents that Hart District Council intends to produce within its Local Development Framework (LDF) and sets out the processes for their preparation and adoption.
It incorporates a timetable (Project Plan) for their production, along with details of when the public will be invited to participate, and also identifies the resources required, potential constraints and monitoring schedule.
The LDS also identifies those policies in the existing Hart District Local Plan that are to be replaced by proposed Local Development Documents (LDDs).
The Council’s LDS became effective on 5th April 2005 and is constantly monitored with quarterly updates and formal annual reports to the Government Office for the South East (GOSE).
