Generic Development Control (DC) Policies DPD

This Development Plan Document will consist of criteria based policies to ensure that development within Hart meets the relevant standards and procedures required to deliver the vision and principles set out in the Core Strategy. Examples would include detailed policies to protect the natural environment, provide for adequate infrastructure, ensure high standards of design and avoid or mitigate nuisance.

Issues & Options paper for the Core Strategy & Development Control policy documents:

Hart District Council undertook consultation on its Issues and Options paper for these two documents between 13th January and 24th February 2006. A copy of the Issues and Options paper may be viewed and downloaded by clicking on the links below:

The responses received as part of this consultation were analysed and the following report produced:

At this stage, future progress on these two Development Plan Documents was separated. The report was used to develop a set of Preferred Options for the Core Strategy that were published for further comment in August 2006. It is intended that consultation on the Preferred Options for the DC Policies will take place September - November 2007 (subject to confirmation from GOSE).
