Conservation Area Proposal Statements
A programme for the review of the conservation areas within Hart District has been drawn up and will begin in 2007.
Some conservation area appraisals were completed many years ago and are now out of date.
However those areas which do have out of date appraisals and assessments are not always those which are, at present (December 2006) experiencing the most pressure.
It is necessary to balance these various factors.
The Local Planning Authority is under a continuing duty to review their conservation areas from time to time. The review of each conservation area will take the form of an appraisal of its history, characteristics and possible threats to that character or potential for improvement.
Therefore, when reading the appraisals shown here, you should note that the forthcoming conservation area review will result in changes to the documents shown on this page.
