
Odiham Common
Odiham Common is a beautiful amenity enjoyed by people throughout the district and beyond. The Common is one of the few examples of wood pasture outside the New Forest and is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), being recorded as such because of the many examples of rare flora and fauna. It is registered Common land and therefore shown on the open access land maps.
Being a short walk from Odiham visitors can enjoy walking amongst local wildlife and the relaxing atmosphere of the natural surroundings.
- For parking use Colt Hill Wharf car park.
- Winchfield station is approx 1km from the common along the B3016.
- There is woodland and pastured woodland with paths and rides however the ground is often wet in winter months.
- There is a picnic area at Colt Hill wharf car park. Alternatively it is a short walk from local amenities.
- Dogs must be kept under close control please.
- It is a designated Site of Scientific Interest (SSSI).
- The Common is not suitable for disabled or buggy access unless ground conditions are very dry.
