Demolitions

If you are intending to demolish a building or part of a building that is over 1750 cubic feet and that is not an attached garage, greenhouse or conservatory you should give notice of your intention to demolish to the Council and should not commence demolition until either we have served a counter notice on you or a period of six weeks has elapsed since the date of your notice to us. In most cases our reply to you will be made within 14 days and may contain conditions, e.g. require you to protect adjoining buildings and streets, to seal drains, and to remove any resultant rubbish from the site.
