Crime Reduction and Environment Week
What is CREW?
Crime Reduction and Environment Week (CREW) is a multi-agency and community led initiative to tackle residents concerns, environmental issues and criminal activity in a small area.
CREW was initiated by the Police and is now a nationally recognised community and social inclusion event.
The main objective of CREW is to improve the communities in which we work and live.

What Issues Does CREW Tackle?
- Information Advice and Education
- Criminal and Anti-Social Behaviour
- Community Cohesion
- Environmental Issues
Successes of Previous CREW's Include:
- Removal of Rubbish, Litter and Fly-tipping
- Turning an Unused Dumping Group into a Communal Flowerbed
- Painting out Graffiti
- Clearing out Garages
- Clearing out waterways to prevent further flooding
Fun Day
At the end of each event a Fun Day is held for the residents, with plenty of entertainment and free activities.
