Community Safety

Safer North Hampshire was originally 3 separate Local Authority Community Safety Teams established as a result of Section 17 of the 1998 Crime and Disorder Act.
In November 2012 the 3 teams covering Basingstoke, Hart and Rushmoor came togther under the Safer North Hampshire banner, and now encompass more than 30 partnership agencies.
Safer North Hampshire seeks to facilitate a comprehensive response to community needs and wishes, whilst raising the understanding of community safety issues and improving the qualify of life for local people.
