What Happens If I Don't Pay?

If payment is not received within 28 days, the registered keeper of the vehicle, or the person that the Council believes to be the owner of the vehicle, may receive a Notice to Owner asking for payment.  This Notice will also describe how the owner may make formal representations objecting to the issue of a penalty charge notice.

If the Notice to Owner is ignored then, after a further 28 days, a Charge Certificate will be issued, which increases the sum due by £30.00  

Continued non-payment will lead to the debt being registered at the County Court and the possibility of the matter being referred to the Council’s Bailiffs.
