The Local Government Act 2000 introduced a duty for local authorities to develop comprehensive community strategies to promote or improve the social, economic and environmental well-being of their areas and contribute to the achievement of sustainable development in the UK.

Planning the future of Hart together - Draft Sustainable Community Strategy

The Draft Sustainable Strategy consultation period recently ended. Feedback from the consultation exercise is currently being assessed. This feedback will be used to form the basis of the final version of the Sustainable Community Strategy, a document that will set out the vision for the Hart district in coming years.

The Sustainable Community Strategy will be an updated version of the current Community Strategy 2005-2016 and will identify areas of work that the Partnership will focus on, together with action plans that will detail how projects will be delivered.
