Public, Private and Voluntary Partners Working Together.

The Local Government Act 2000 introduced a duty for local authorities to develop comprehensive community strategies to promote or improve the social, economic and environmental well-being of their areas and contribute to the achievement of sustainable development in the UK.
Planning the future of Hart together - Sustainable Community Strategy
The Hart Local Strategic Partnership is a partnership of public service providers, business organisations and voluntary and community organisations that work together to establish a vision for the area and set priorities that help focus effective delivery on local issues.
The Sustainable Community Strategy sets out the vision for the Hart district over the next ten years. The Strategy has been compiled following a review of the original Community Strategy 2005–2016, and using information that has been gathered through work involving all the partners of the LSP, members of the public and community groups.
The Strategy details the priority areas that the partnership will focus its attention on in the next two to three years, together with some longer-term priorities. The priority areas are:
An Environmentally Conscious Community and a Sustainable District
Affordable, Safe, Well Maintained, Sustainable Housing
One of the Safest Districts in the South East
A Centre for Health Equality
A Diversified and Balanced Local Economy
A Sustainable and Accessible Transport System
The Strategy will also be used to inform the work and priorities of Hart District Council.
Copies of the Strategy are available in different formats – larger font, audio-tape or CD, other languages. Please advise the support team of any requirements when requesting a copy of the Strategy.
