Rural Housing:
Hart is part of a group of 6 local authorities all working together with the Housing Corporation, Rural Housing Enablers and Hyde Housing Association to deliver rural housing through rural exception sites to meet the needs of local people. We have set a target of delivering at least 1 rural scheme per year through this agreement and in our Housing Strategy.

Hart has commissioned a range of research to help inform our housing developments:

We have a target to develop an average of 40 shared ownership and 40 rented units a year. We have the greatest need for affordable rented homes and we aim to have more rented homes than shared ownership on new developments.
