Hart Guide: Yateley
Steeped in history, Yateley occupies the north-east corner of Hart and has seen quite rapid development as a town oven the past two decades, creating an interesting mixture of old and new. It has a health centre, library and many schools within its boundary, which includes the area of Derby Green, Frogmore, part of Blackwater and most of Blackbushe Airport.
The Yateley and Frogmore Community Centres are two lively community and sports amenities which share facilities with local secondary schools. There is also Monteagle Community Centre which is part of a new development.
The many recreational areas and open spaces in and around Yateley include the splendid Yateley Common Country Park. The town has a number of old houses, many dating from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. One such is Monteagle House, reputedly dating back to 1540.

Buses: Yateley is served by Stagecoach Service 10 between Basingstoke & Camberley and also the Fleet Buzz Service 71 which goes to Farnham via Fleet and provides a link to London - Portsmouth train services via Fleet station. Stagecoach Service 3 links Yateley to Aldershot via Camberley and Frimley and provides a link to Frimley Park Hospital.
Shops: Yateley has a good range of shops including Waitrose and Cooperative Supermarkets, several convenience stores and several small specialist retailers.
Pubs and Restaurants: Yateley has a good range of pubs to suit all needs, many of which serve excellent food. There are also a number of specialist restaurants, the most prominent of which is possibly "Casa dei Cesare" a large Italian restaurant and Hotel.
Clubs and Societies: Yateley and District Gardening Club, a group of keen amateur gardeners who have been in existence as a society since the 1960's. The society launched its website earlier this year http://www.ydgs.org.uk
