Hart Guide: Mattingley
Mattingley, which extends westwards from the River Hart and is crossed by the River Whitewater, is a pretty and secluded parish with fine views from Hazeley Heath. The cottages at Mattingley are set very pleasantly around the village green.
The church is a delight. It dates from the 15th Century and is distinguished particularly by walls of beautiful red herringbone brickwork.
